One of the largest and oldest saw mills in Asia, built on a small island connected to Port Blair by a bridge. It is a storehouse of timbers such as Padauk, Gurjan, Marble and Satin Wood, and was built by the British Government in 1883. The island also hosts the second-largest wharf in the region, where island-to-mainland ships can berth.
